Bringing Hope, Healing and Care to Pook Marilag, Brgy UP!

Medical mission brings Cardinal Care to communities in need

Quezon City, Philippines – In the spirit of Community Health Services, we brought Cardinal Santos Medical Center’s Hospital on Wheels to the resilient families of Pook Marilag. This community, still rebuilding after the devastating fire in May 2022, holds a special place in our hearts.

Our multi-specialist team of doctors, hailing from various clinical departments including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology, worked tirelessly to provide quality healthcare assistance to the community. With 25 doctors and 15 dedicated volunteers, including nurses, pharmacists, CPCA and support staff, the mission was a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion.

With an overwhelming response from the community, our dedicated team of Caring Cardinal Leaders provided free consultations, distributed pairs of free reading glasses and free medicines, as prescribed.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Cardinal Medical Charities Foundation, Inc. and the UP College of Social Work and Community Development (UP-CSWCD) for making this medical mission possible. Together, we are transforming lives and building a healthier future for the communities we serve.
