As the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 89 gets underway, Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) is loud and proud to stand alongside the University of the Philippines Women’s Basketball Team (UPWBT).
On September 29, 2026, CSMC and UPWBT formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), marking the beginning of a shared commitment between two institutions driven by excellence, discipline, and the pursuit of greatness.
The MOA was signed by Mr. Jake Christian Solomon, AVP and Head of Business Planning and Development of CSMC; Dr. Roy Garrido, Director and Head of the Sports Cardiology Unit, Cardiovascular Institute of CSMC; Mr. Angelo Jimenez, President of the University of the Philippines; and Mr. Patricio Roman Jr., Team Manager of the UP Women’s Basketball Team.
But CSMC’s support for UPWBT goes beyond the game. It is about championing the health, well-being, and potential of athletes who continue to challenge their limits, pursue excellence, and inspire others.
Because great teams are not built by talent alone. They are built by people who show up, stand together, and believe in what is possible.
And as the Fighting Maroons take the court, CSMC is proud to be part of the team behind the team.
