Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) recently unveiled several new and enhanced facilities in the extension wing on its 7th floor in celebration of its 48th founding anniversary. The launch, which includes the brand-new Life and Wellness Center, the expanded Nursing Services Office and Cardiac Rehabilitation, was held on Aug. 15, Monday.

Present at the ceremony were CSMC’s President and CEO Raul C. Pagdanganan, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Zenaida Javier-Uy, Director for Nursing Leona Paula Macalintal, Head of Human Resources Maria Louzel Diaz-Tiozon, Head of Business Planning and Development Shirard Adiviso, Head of Cardiac Rehabilitation Dr. Charmaine Palafox-Porquez and Life and Wellness Center Consultant Dr. Ricardo Jose Miranda.

The new Lifestyle and Wellness Center is an “all-in-one” center that brings key services together, allowing patients to avail procedures, tests and treatments without moving between offices or buildings. Services such as Executive Check Up and Men’s and Women’s Wellness can be availed here.

Meanwhile, the Nursing Services and Cardiac Rehabilitation have transferred to a larger area, which will help them accommodate even more patients and provide CSMC’s brand of world-class medical care to them.

“This year, we have seen the remarkable transformation of our very own hospital under the leadership and direction of our President and CEO,” said Macalintal. “After 48 years, what we had as a dream is now a reality. These facilities are a testament to how he, and the rest of the hospital management, have been caring for both patients and employees the Caring Cardinal way.”

Prior to the launch of these three new centers, CSMC also opened the Center for Thoracic and Critical Care Medicine last April, while the Professor Sol V. Alvarez Center for Digestive Diseases and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy was unveiled in June.

This continuous enhancement of CSMC’s already world-class, state-of-the-art facilities shows the hospital’s commitment to providing its unique brand of Caring Cardinal service, as well as making quality healthcare accessible to its patients.

“Before, it is the patient that goes to the service, but now, it is the service that goes to the patient,” said Adiviso in closing. “We will keep track of your health with the guidance of our experts, to help our patients perform at their peak. We want [our patients to have] the perception [that] the hospital is a place where you can achieve optimum health and wellness.”
