The Cardinal Santos Medical Center CWCU is designed as a one-stop hub for various out-patient procedures and services especially catered to women. The unit provides women the necessary care needed to maintain good health and fitness.

The CWCU offers patients Colposcopy Examination. COLPOSCOPY is the examination of the cervix, vagina, and external genitalia under illumination and magnification. Its purpose is to confirm the presence or absence of pre-cancerous diseases and of every early stage malignancy, both of which have high chances for cure.


Colposcopy is done on Patients with:

  • Abnormal Pap Smear
  • Positive HPV (Human Papiloma Virus) DNA Test
  • Suspicious lesions on cervix, vagina or vulva
