DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION MEDICINE

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Cardinal Santos Medical Center offers a full complement of rehabilitative services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, electrodiagnostic medicine, and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound and is staffed by an inter-disciplinary team of Rehabilitation Medicine doctors or Physiatrists, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech and language pathologists.

The Department caters to both neurological and musculoskeletal disorders such as but not limited tocerebrovascular accidents or stroke, brain injuries- both traumatic and non-traumatic, musculoskeletal injuries, occupational injury and overuse syndromes, rheumatological disorders such as osteoarthritis, and post-joint replacement surgeries. To facilitate the utmost functional recovery from these disorders, the Department boasts of its neuro-rehabilitative equipment, such as the Chattanooga Huber 360 and Gloreha Sinfonia, which are only found here in Cardinal Santos Medical Center.

Diagnostic services such electromyography (EMG-NCV) to detect peripheral nerve and muscle problems and interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSK-US) for guided interventions such as intra-articularjoint injections and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy are also available. These services are conducted by our team of competent electromyographers and sonographers.

Monday to Friday – 7:00AM to 7:00PM (Cut-off time: 5:30PM)

Saturday – 7:00AM to 5:00PM (Cut-off time: 4:00PM)
