Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) continues to introduce innovations in the healthcare industry as it opens the very first academic training institution for minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
The Minimally Invasive Surgery Training Center is one of Asia’s MIS facilities on advanced surgery and the first of its kind in the Philippines. It is designed to allow medical experts, here and abroad, access to modern surgical facilities and technology and to enable learning sessions facilitated by internationally acclaimed medical professionals.
MIS has improved today’s average health outcome with the promise of less post-operative pain and scaring, shorter hospital stay, faster recovery time and better quality of life. It has gained popularity as a preferred treatment option over traditional surgery.
The MIS Training Center will provide virtual learning environment leveraging on cutting-edge facilities, system and technology. It is the only facility in the country that can transmit live video feed surgery from CSMC to any part of the country.
The Center takes pride in its world-class amenities, equipment and faculty of medical experts fully capable of facilitating training programs on the different surgical fields.
It is the first institution wholly dedicated to advocate and contribute to the development of MIS in the country.
