Behind every mask is a heart full of compassion and a story of inspiration.
On November 2, Cardinal Santos Medical Center launched UNMASKED, a digital campaign featuring tales of hope and triumph from the men and women we call heroes.
“Since the onslaught of the pandemic, healthcare workers around the world have truly become our beacons of hope. Despite the risks to their own health and safety, and of being away from their loved ones, they soldier on and continue to do what they do best– to save lives. Yet what most of us don’t see is that behind the masks, shields, and coats are men and women who experience real emotions– happiness, sadness, anger, fear, disappointment, and pain– just like everyone else. With UNMASKED: Humans of Cardinal, we hope to share the different stories that make each of our Caring Cardinal Leader truly HUMAN.”

UNMASKED: Humans of Cardinal is a passion project that stems from our gratitude towards our people who continue to support what our hospital stands for– service and compassion. These people have embraced selflessness as their second nature and while they quietly perform their duties without demanding anything in return, we are launching this initiative to give them the recognition they deserve as the silent heroes of our age. We are incredibly proud to have them in our family and we want to express our appreciation to them through this simple but heartfelt effort.
