CSMC revolutionizing cancer care with the latest PET/CT technology

Numbers project approximately 26 million new cancer cases and 17 million cancer deaths per year by 2030. This latest nuclear imaging model is the hospital’s response to help prevent these numbers from happening, one patient at a time.
Cancer of the breast, lung, liver, cervical, colorectal, ovarian, prostate is just a few of the most commonly diagnosed and causes of cancer deaths worldwide. In 2015, the World Health Organization listed cancer as responsible for nearly 8.8 million deaths. This number could reach approximately 17 million by 2030 if left unhindered.
